Meet Mike Keeney…
Hi, I am Michael (“Mike”) Keeney. I’m glad that you are visiting my law firm’s site. This most likely means you are looking for a Kentucky attorney or seeking information about Kentucky law. In either case, I will be glad to help.
When we speak, I think you’ll find that I am a plain-spoken, approachable neighbor of yours who practices law. I have more than 20 years of experience as an attorney, but far more experience serving others and working alongside hardworking Kentuckians who expect their lawyer to provide honest, respectful representation and fair treatment.
I was born in St. Louis back when their Cardinals played both baseball and football. My family soon after moved to Paducah, Kentucky. My father owned a grocery store in Crittenden County and I began putting in my time at the store starting in the third grade. That small business supported our family, sent my siblings and I to college and provided a comfortable retirement for my mom and dad. It was an integral institution in that region.
My dad insisted I would not follow him into the grocery business, so I went to college and graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1995. Shortly after graduating, I became a Kentucky State Trooper, primarily in Pendleton and Bracken Counties, then as the Public Affairs Officer for Northern Kentucky and eventually in Frankfort worked in the KSP Legal Office in Frankfort. I attended Chase College of Law in the evenings, while chasing bad guys during the day and late (very late) nights and graduated in 2001.
After gaining a few years’ experience in private practice with firms in the area, I established my own firm, in 2005. My wife and I have two teenagers and live in Boone County. I’m honored to have helped countless neighbors throughout Northern Kentucky. I’ve met them during their joy of having a child, and amidst their grief when losing a loved one. I’ve helped them start their businesses and have congratulated them at retirement after selling their company. Whether you need an attorney for exciting occasions or during unpleasant circumstances, I want to share my years of experience with you and provide you with service that is fair, compassionate and valuable.
